“Unnecessary and uncouth” or “mint”? Those were the arguments for and against Stag Dos on an episode of ITV’s flagship daytime show This Morning in summer 2018.
Etiquette expert William Hanson says that such celebrations are unnecessary, uncouth and appeal to the lowest common denominator. But seasoned stag Jamie Richardson says certain resorts have come to rely on stag and hen parties for the economy.

As one might expect, here at Weekend Blackpool we were only too explicit about our stance on Stag Dos, declaring ”Sorry William, we’re with Jamie on this one!” over on our Instagram. Much to our surprise, none other than William Hanson himself replied to our post with a sassy response, which you can see for yourself here.
